Aunt Kasandra gave us passes to the aquarium for Christmas. The boys loved it. Fish are one of the animal sounds that Jaxson knows so he liked the fish the best. He was pretty cute making fishy faces back at the fish.
The other night we ate at the Red Lobster. I told Kade that his dad was going to eat one of the lobsters in the tank. He didn’t believe it. He told dad that we do not eat sea creatures. I told him it was just like eating a chicken (the only meat he will occasionally eat) and he looked puzzled and then told me that we only eat pretend chickens like chicken nuggets not real chickens. I don’t think he has put together the concept of where meat comes from. When we got to the lobster tank he asked dad if he was going to eat this one.
Kade said he wanted to touch the sting rays but after we got his sleeves rolled up he wasn’t quite brave enough. Maybe next time.
We spent the most time at the shark tank. Kade was very impressed by them. He also loved to watch the octopus. I was more interested in watching Kade’s face.
Thanks Aunt Kasandra! Kade asks to go back every time we go to town.
