Christmas morning we all slept in until 830. Jaxson woke up first and when I opened Kade’s door to wake him up he was sitting on his bed watching Despicable Me. I asked him why he hadn’t gotten up yet because Santa had come. He looked at me like oh yeah it is Christmas isn’t it and jumped into action.
The Saturday before Christmas we took the boys to Fresh Market to do Toys for Tots. I had a hard time trying to figure out how to explain to Kade that sometimes parents need help giving their kids presents because Santa is the one that leaves all the presents. Luckily he didn’t think that deep and I just told him we were going to pick out some presents for some other kids that might not get much for Christmas. He had a great time going through the store picking out the things that he would like. At the check out Jaxson found the beanie baby display and he grabbed two doggies. Doggies are his favorite and he was giving them hugs and saying they were so cute. Kade picked out a snake and really wanted to get it. He asked how come we were getting all these toys for other kids and he couldn’t get one. I explained it all over again and he was just fine not getting the snake. We were worried that Jaxson wouldn’t want to leave with out his doggies but he surprised us and left them without a fuss. I had Kris take them to the car and got the doggies and snake for them for their stockings. When they saw them Christmas morning I told them Santa must have been watching us get all those toys for the other kids and put them in their stockings.
Santa brought Kade his DS and roller coaster track and Jaxson got his monster trucks and Christmas Mater set.
Jaxson loves his Toy Story characters.
We gave Kade Kung Zhu battle tracks for all his battle Zhu Zhus. I seriously do not recommend these but he was excited.
After the presents were unwrapped we told the boys there was one more present from Grandma and Grandpa downstairs. Kris caught the moment perfectly.
Kade absolutely loved it and I’m sure Jaxson will once he gets a little bigger. Kris and I are just a tiny bit competitive and this just about killed us. (Kris is a cheater by the way.) We were laughing so hard and were so tired from all the rematches that we finally had to quit and give Kade a turn.
We spent the whole day assembling new toys and playing together.

So fun! I can totally see you and Kris getting so competitive. Looks like a fun Christmas - it's so easy to spoil our kids isn't it. Even though I said "my kid will never has tons of toys" but that went out the window :) As usual your house looks so darn cute - can't wait to take lessons from you! Happy New Year
