We had the family Christmas party at our house this year. We had a children’s gift exchange, lunch and then played games. Before everyone got there Jaxson was helping me wrap the presents by using the wrapping paper as a car track and Kade had to be the one to put all the tape on.
Jaxson got a frog game and whenever anyone tried to touch it the rest of the day he would growl at them. Kade loved his new Zhu Zhu and battle gear that Caitlynn gave him. So did Jaxson.
Caitlynn got princess makeup. She was putting it on and asked Kade if she was gorgeous yet. She even talked Clay into applying her lipstick for her. After he put it on her he told me that girls are weird. By the time she left her face was completely pink but it shimmered so beautifully.
Everyone loved playing with the Rock’Em Sock’Em game Andruw got.
Kris wasn’t being anti-social, he was trying to fix Shawndell’s computer not that I wouldn’t put it past him to ignore everyone in favor for the computer. :)
Kody got a Star Wars game for his DS. Ty was the only one that had his DS with him so he got to enjoy it first.
Clay got a Nerf dart game that everyone took turns playing with. We thought it was funny it came with protective eye ware until Jaxson was holding the gun backwards and shot himself right in the face.
Ty got his usual, Lego Star Wars with gift receipt so he could go back and get one that he doesn’t have yet.
We had taco salad for lunch. Kids and food make me laugh. Clay only ate chips and hamburger, Andruw would only eat it with Thousand Island because it has ketchup in it (or so his mother told him), Kade was eating the chips out of my salad and asked me to get the brown things off of one. I told him it was hamburger and he should eat it, he told me it looked like caterpillar poop. Jaxson would only eat the oranges I had peeled.
The adults and Clay spent the rest of the afternoon playing a game called Scrutineyes while the kids took turns playing with their new toys and Lego games on the Xbox. It was fun spending the day playing with family.
