Decorations

I have found some pretty cute blogs online and they have some projects I want to try.  I found this picture on 320 Sycamore and decided to make some for my kitchen light.

berry balls

Kade helped me make some and here is how they turned out.

These you use glass shower blocks and tie cute bows on them and stuff them full of Christmas lights.

I saw these flower balls in Michaels and I want to make them for my tree.

This is my favorite.  You use paper Mache boxes and number them as an advent calendar.  Inside you put little ornaments that the kids open each day and they use them to decorate their own little tree in their room.  The last one can be the star.

  Those are donut holes.

This picture I got from Just a Girl.  It is just scrapbook paper wrapped around the candles.

I saw these in the Pottery Barn catalog a couple years ago hung on the wall with a cute ribbon.

I have to keep pictures of my decorations each season so I can remember where to put everything the next year.  I also found a couple blogs where they were having house tours so you could see everyone’s decorations and I thought it was fun to see but I was too chicken to put mine on so I’m gonna post them here.

I made these a couple years ago.  I had Lowes cut railroad ties for me.  I painted them, sanded the edges, then put some stain on them.  Then I ripped material and made bows and put moss under them.

I made these Santa’s and snowmen the first year we were married.  I made the bows on the tree our second Christmas.

This was one of my other projects this year.  I may just leave it up all year long.

I usually have something seasonal in this vase filled with tall sticks.  This year I found these believe and joy balls at Tai Pan but my sticks wouldn’t fit.

I found these birch sleeves at Pottery Barn and had to have them.

These and some white deer are the only outdoor decorations we have.
