We went to Grandma and Grandpa’s house for Jaxson’s birthday. Jaxson was in a bad mood all day. He started off fine putting his candles in his birthday pancakes.
He even liked the lighting of the candles.
Then heaven forbid we started to sing happy birthday. He was not happy with the singing and refused to blow out his candles or eat his pancakes.
It took quite a bit of convincing but he finally decided he could be bothered to open some presents.
Kade had to be involved and he helped Jax decide which present to open next and helped him with any tricky wrapping. We wondered how Kade would handle not getting any presents but he never once acted like he was jealous. He was truly excited for Jaxson. Maybe it was because he knew he would get to play with anything he got anyway.
Grandma and Grandpa got the fun job of trying to get the toys out of the boxes. It took quite awhile to get all the twisty ties undone.
Jaxson saw this Mario and Luigi at Toys R Us, he cried and cried when he couldn’t take them home. It took him three days before he forgot his Mario pet and Luigi pet.
Bullseye was the first present and the Mario and Luigi were the last present and Grandpa is still trying to get Bullseye out of the box.
