Kris playing in the Mark Eaton golf tournament threw off our plans a little bit. We had been planning to spend the weekend in Logan and had already made a hotel reservation and made plans with family and friends so we left from Park City and met Aunt Kasandra and the kids in Logan. We went to the Fun Park with Kasandra, Grandma Brough, and our friends Ryan, Jenn and their kids. They played in the soft play climbing area with the slides for a bit and then wanted to play the arcade games.
Jaxson liked to put the tokens in the machines. He would want a new token to put in before his game was even finished. Eventually we found the perfect game for him. It was one where you tried to get the tokens to go down a ramp and it would go through holes for different amounts of tickets. He had the machine just spitting out tickets, and he got the most out of all of us.

We tried to get a picture with all the kids but this is the best we could manage.
After turning in our tickets and getting the kids their prizes we went caterpillar hunting. We were really afraid we wouldn’t find any this year but dad crawled through some barbed wire and found us one for home and one for Kade to take to school.

We didn’t want to leave the caterpillars in the car the rest of the evening in case they got too hot so we checked in to the hotel and gave them first rate accommodations. The person at the desk didn’t even ask what was in the aquarium Kris carried through the lobby. I thought that was kind of odd. We ate at Firehouse (my favorite place in Logan) and then got to ditch the kids for the second time that weekend. My cousin Maryanna so kindly said she would watch them while we went to the movie. They had a marvelous time riding the Jolley Trolley and playing while we watched Inception. At the hotel the kids had fun playing on the beds until they just couldn’t stay up any longer.

Jaxson kept covering his eyes and saying owie because the flash hurt his eyes.

While they were playing on the beds we kept having to tell them to be quiet. We told Kade that if he wasn’t quiet they were going to come kick us out of the hotel and make us sleep out in the rain. The next morning Kris went to get something out of the car and left the bar in the door so it was partway open and Kade kept peeking out the door. He asked me what the guys looked like. I was confused and asked him what guys he was talking about. He said, “What do the guys look like that will come and kick us out of the hotel.” Good thing he was keeping watch for us.

Mmmm "Firehouse." I totally miss that place. It was so good, my mouth is watering right now thinking about it. You always catch great catapillars. I never seem to find those kind. You should do a tutorial on catching them and then how to, what do you call it, raise them into butterflies??
