Kade turned five on us this year. He was very sick and the three days before his birthday he didn’t move off the couch, he just laid there and moaned all day. He told me that he was too sick to have a birthday. When he woke up that day he felt good enough to open his presents and play with them a little bit but then spent most of the rest of the day on the couch.
Our house has been taken over by Zhu Zhu pets. They are pretty cute but they turn when they hit the walls and run for quite a while so sometimes Kade loses track of them and I find them all over. I had quite a scare when one came out of the pantry at me while I was putting away groceries.
Grandma wasn’t here this year to make a cake so Kris and I decided to decorate a Scooby Doo cake. I showed Kade a picture that came with the cake pan and told him we were going to put icing on it to make it look more like Scooby. He freaked out and said he did not want any icing on his cake, he just wanted plain chocolate cake. Well I wasn’t going to argue with him since it probably wouldn't have looked all that great anyway with our decorating skills. So he ended up with a very sad looking birthday cake but he was happy with it.

Zhu Zhu Pets are so cute but... My kids got some for Christmas along with some my little ponies...lets just say Zhu Zhu pets and My Little Poinies cannot be in the same room together. Both ZhuZhu pets broke the same day because they got the hair from my little ponies caught up in them both at different times! Cute birthday boy! I can't believe he is 5 already!
