We have never gone to an Easter egg hunt before but we decided to try out the one at Deseret Peak this year. It was packed but they had it sectioned off in to age groups and we found a good spot for Kade. I told Kade that as soon as the fire truck siren started he could run out and fill up his basket. I was afraid he was going to get trampled because he isn’t really aggressive at things like this.
When the siren started all the kids just went crazy running after the eggs and prizes, all except for Kade. He just calmly walked around picking up what he wanted and leaving what he didn’t. He filled up his basket and was as happy as could be.
Our Jaxson did not do so well. He doesn’t like crowds. He completely melted down and did not want anything in his basket. We couldn’t leave without going down the slide, Jaxson was excited about it and took off his shoes but when it came down to it he changed his mind. Kade on the other hand went down three times. He said that it tickled his tummy.
After the egg hunt we went back to our house to have cake and presents for Caitlynn. Grandma made her a beautiful princess cake that she loved.
Because she loves princesses so much she is very easy to pick out presents for, we gave her a long Rapunzel hair extension that lights up and a Cinderella tiara.
