Halloween 2010

Kade’s favorite holiday is Halloween.  He was sick this year and lost his voice for three days.  While we were carving our pumpkins he asked me if it was ok to go trick-or-treating with a different voice.  I thought it was cute that he was worrying about it and I told him of course people would still give him candy even if he couldn’t talk.

Jaxson wasn’t interested in carving pumpkins but Kade poked most of the holes for the designs he chose.

DSC_0009 DSC_0039 DSC_0051We have gone trick-or-treating at Kris’ work since Kade was a baby.  The employees dress up, they decorate the whole place, and they give out toys and really good candy.  We get so much candy that we usually give it out to our neighbors that come trick-or-treating to our house.  The past years I have had Kade and Jaxson’s costumes go together but this year Kade wanted to be a skeleton so I was just going to have Jaxson be one as well.  Jaxson saw a Buzz costume at the store and went crazy for it so mom had to let it go and not have them match this year.  When the time came to actually put on the Buzz costume Jaxson wanted no part of it.  He cried and cried but as soon as he caught on to the fact that people were giving him candy he forgot all about it.DSC_0057 DSC_0066 DSC_0073 DSC_0075 DSC_0076 Kade was still worried about not being able to say trick-or-treat so we made him a sign that he held up to everyone.  He thought that it was a great idea.DSC_0081 After we finished at dad’s work we had some time before I had to be to work so we went to Gardener Village to look at the witches.DSC_0086 DSC_0098 DSC_0110 DSC_0122 DSC_0123 Jaxson was there too, he just won’t cooperate with pictures as well as Kade does.DSC_0129 I got one good picture but most of them end up like this.DSC_0134 DSC_0136  DSC_0150 DSC_0153 Getting ready to go trick-or-treating in the neighborhood.DSC_0159 DSC_0163 DSC_0171 DSC_0175 Kade did get his mouse house pumpkin.DSC_0193 He also saw a picture of a barfing pumpkin and we just had to make one of ours barf to.

The young men and women in our ward put on a carnival each year for the Primary kids.  Kade had lots of fun but Jaxson was mostly just interested in the suckers.

DSC_0013 DSC_0016 I didn’t want to unwrap his sucker so he could drool all over Buzz.  He wasn’t too happy with me.

Max would have freked out over the Buzz costume too - Everything is "Buzz, Buzz, Buzz!"
