Kade had a homework assignment to take this turkey and disguise it so it wouldn’t get eaten for Thanksgiving dinner.
We thought that it’s feathers looked a lot like a sunflower so mom did some photoshop magic and our turkey is now in disguise. Kade colored it and poured the glitter on the tips of the petals. We also glued some sunflower seeds to the middle.
We made one for school that Kade colored and we made one for home that we colored on the computer.
Kris and I went to our first parent teacher conference and we can only hope that they will always be so pleasant. His teacher said that he is so sweet and she loves every minute of being his teacher. She said he is very smart and she loves to talk to him because he has such a wonderful imagination. She also solved a great mystery for us. Kade has come home with holes in two of his new pirate shirts. I couldn’t figure out what was going on and he wouldn’t tell me how he got the holes. He finally told me it was with scissors but he is not purposely destructive at home so we had a long talk about how he wouldn’t get any more pirate shirts if he came home with any more holes. His teacher was telling us how he really needs to work on cutting. She said that he turns his scissors around and holds them with the blades facing him. I started laughing and had to tell her about the holes.
Kade’s first school picture.
