Every time we go do something fun Kade takes about a half an hour to warm up to the idea, especially if it involves getting wet. When we first got to Raging Waters this year he wanted to go on the snake first and spent the whole time crying. Then he went to the slide and walked around the edge of the pool trying not to get sprayed in the face. These are the pictures of the first part of the day.
It looks like everyone is having such a good time.
He actually got halfway down and climbed back up because he didn’t want to get wet at the bottom.
We were still not having any fun. We scared Jaxson to death and he didn’t want to go anymore and Kade was still too afraid. He used he shoes and inched his way down the whole slide.
We weren’t making Kade go down the slides, he wanted to go but he was just too afraid. We finally had a break through. He was sitting at the top too scared to go and this little girl was tired of waiting behind him. She kicked him right off the edge, he screamed and then laughed and was good to go the rest of the day.
The next time he went down the same little girl was at the bottom and counted for him, when she got to three and yelled go, he went. The rest of the day he was like a different person. He was swinging off the bar and flinging himself down. He went head first on his tummy. He would lay down and land on his bum and back in the water at the bottom.
Kade’s cousin Kody came with us and he didn’t have any trouble having fun.
Kade wasn’t interested in the wave pool. While everyone else played Kade made mom be a shade tree. Jaxson, Kody, Grandma and Grandpa had lots of fun in the wave pool.
Jaxson was walking in the water up to his neck and wanted to go farther. Grandpa had to keep him back.
We all went on the lazy river and Jaxson liked it so much he went again with Grandpa. During the ride Jaxson laid his head on the tube and fell asleep.
Kris talked Kade into going down a big slide on the inner tube. They crashed in the tunnel and Kade fell out of the tube and hit his head. He was a little shaken up and had a bump on his forehead so he was happy to get back to the small slides. After he calmed down and was having fun again I asked him if he would go on another tube slide with dad if he promised he wouldn’t crash. I was shocked that he agreed.
I didn’t get a good picture of Kody on the slide but here he is at the bottom.
It looks like Kris is coming down alone. Where is Kade?
Here is the close up.
After he got out. Not only was the ride traumatizing but he fell out of the tube at the end. He got over it pretty quick but he stuck to the little slides after that.
Grandpa taught Jaxson that it was fun to splash people. Grandma sure didn’t think it was.
