We like going to the Grantsville parade. It is pretty small but we only have to go 10 minutes before it starts and can find a good spot to stand and they throw a lot of candy.
We got so much candy that by the middle of the parade Kade didn’t want to pick it up anymore. He told us that he had enough.
Jaxson waiting impatiently for dad to unwrap his tootsie roll.
Jaxson liked the sirens.
Kade was waving trying to look sweet enough to get a frisbee. It worked.
Herding Jaxson back out of the road.
After the parade we set up the swimming pool and sprinklers in the backyard while we waited for the fireworks. Of course it took Kade awhile before he would have any fun.
Jaxson actually stayed awake for the fireworks this year. He kept saying wow and blue and pink. He was done watching about halfway through and wanted to just play with the glow sticks but Kade and I enjoyed them all.
Monday we went to get the boys long overdue haircuts and then to a park. I’m sure Jaxson was happy to get the hair out of his eyes maybe that is why he didn’t cry this time.
It was pretty hot and Kade wouldn’t go potty in the port-a-potty at the park so we left and found nice cool Mcdonalds to play at the rest of the afternoon.
