Annual Lagoon Day

The carousel is always the first thing we do at the park.

2008 (Mom and Jaxson had just gotten home from the hospital the day before.)

Jaxson did not want to get off.

We took cousin Caitlynn this year.

When Kade goes to a park he always finds the slowest slide and that is the one he stays on the whole time.  He was a the total opposite at Lagoon this year.  He loved the fast scary rides.  We went on this one about 10 times.  It was pouring rain so we didn’t have to wait in line to go over and over.  I don’t think Kade even realized it was raining he was having so much fun. 

It was raining so hard that by the time the people got off and we got on the seats were full of water. 

We would get to the top and Kade would yell, “We’re gonna fall, we’re gonna fall!”  Then as we dropped he would scream and laugh.

Kris taught him how to raise his arms up over his head.  When we would get to the top he would raise one arm up and use the other one to hold on to the bar.  As soon as we fell he would quickly grab the bar with both hands. 

Besides the dropping ladybugs and dinosaurs eggs his other favorite ride was the Tidal Wave.  It is the huge boat that rocks back and forth.  You are supposed to keep the kids in the middle of the boat but we took Kade closer to the top and he even loved that. 

Because of the rain the lines were so short that we could run off the ride and get right back on it.  We rode the Tidal Wave over and over.  Kade loved it.  Kris finally has a ride partner, maybe next year he will be tall enough for the big rides.
