So we had to go private because I wanted to post something about Kris and I didn’t want my blog to come up every time someone googled the Jazz. This is something that no one knows about Kris and I think it’s a pretty big accomplishment considering it’s something he just does in what little spare time he has.

So back around March of 2007 Kris decided that there weren’t any good blogs about the Jazz so he decided to start one. It was basketballjohn.blogspot.com. He didn’t even get any hits for a couple months but slowly he started to get a small following. In the summer of 2007 Jazzbots had a contest to become a Jazz blogger. Kris entered and out of 800 he was #16 and didn’t get the position so he just kept blogging on his own site. He found a sports blog network that didn’t have a blog about the Jazz so he contacted them. They told him they had been reading his blog for a while and were interested in having him join. He now writes for SBNation under the website SLCDunk.com. He has been interviewed on ESPN radio, in the Deseret News, and on the local sports talk radio show. He has also written for ESPN and Sports Illustrated. There have been a few times on his old website where he was linked to on ESPN and got so many hits that he didn’t have enough bandwidth and it crashed his site. The only people that knows he does this are my mom and dad. When he was interviewed on the radio they introduced him as Kris and people posted comments saying they all thought his name was John.
