Somehow our house got nominated for hosting Thanksgiving dinner. I had no idea how we were g0ing to fit 40 people in our house but we did it and we had a good time. I spent 3 days cleaning my house for the event. I cleaned out the cupboards, washed baseboards and light fixtures. I wiped the spider webs out of the corners and even cleaned the blades of the ceiling fan and the blinds. This is how the house looked before every one got here.
Here is how it looked after everyone arrived.
All the food was set up in the kitchen.
We knew we were going to have to spread everyone throughout the house so we weren’t squashed in one room. We set up all the kid toys and the X-Box in Kade’s room.
Our basement is not finished but we had to have somewhere to send the boys. We set up a TV downstairs for the football game and one for Guitar Hero.
After we ate we all went downstairs and played Christmas bells and sang songs. Then Sharla read us a story about a family that gave away magic bread. The moral was that the reason love is so hard to give away is that it is always returned. Aunt Marie gave everyone a loaf of bread so we could find out if it was really magic.

Yikes Mindy! You're my hero, that must've been crazy. I think you got nominated because you have such a cute house! Hopefully one day I'll get to see it in person.
Wow! What a woman! I remember you were always a good cleaner. Looks like lots of fun. How many days did you have to spend recovering and cleaning up?!? I love how you put your stuff throughout the house!
What a crazy day! We had 88 people and went to a church thank goodness!
Your house looks cute!
