A Festivus Miracle

Kade’s preschool had a Christmas program last night.  The kids were supposed to wear reindeer antlers and jingle bells on their wrists.  Kade does not like to wear costumes or to wear anything on his head.  They had a Thanksgiving dinner where they were supposed to wear an Indian feather headband and an outfit made out of paper bags.  He ended up laying on the floor pouting the through the entire thing because they tried to make him put it on.  We were just holding our breath waiting for the tantrum to begin but he surprised us all and let the teacher dress him up and he even smiled for pictures. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We had to get a lot of pictures of this festivus miracle.  I know his hair is too long.  He looks like an orphan and has some great sideburns but the last time we took him in to get it cut they refused to do it because he was freaking out so much.

 

They sang Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, Jingle Bells, and Santa Claus is coming to town.  Kade is so cute when he is singing.  He just makes up the words he can’t remember and on Jingle Bells he sings, “Oh Mcfun it is to ride.” 

I told Kade about sitting on Santa’s lap to tell him what presents he would like for Christmas.  Everyday he tells me that he wants to go sit on Santa’s lap.  Yeah right like he would ever in a million years do that.  Well guess who shows up at the program last night and yet again another miracle.

Kade climbed right up on his lap told him that he had been a good boy and that he wanted some new Leapster games for Christmas.  We feel really bad but we were so shocked we forgot to put Jaxson up there with him.  

Kade had to bring snack today at preschool so mom went with him.  We got to make a gingerbread house.  Kade calls it his Christmas house. 

For snack we took red and green apples and these cute little Christmas trees that we made.
