So every night before Kade’s T-Ball game Kris and I both ask him the same questions. Are you going to run really fast? Are you going to pay attention to your coach? Are you going to get the ball when it comes to you? Where do you throw it? Are you going to mess around in the dug out? Are you going to throw dirt? He answers them all with the right answer and then we he gets there he usually just stands where ever he is told and stares off into space. He ignores the ball and usually ends up crying or pouting by the end of the game. Last night before his game we went through the routine and when we got there he shocked us both. He ran right on the field for warm ups, threw the ball really well and ran after it when he didn’t catch it instead of just standing there until one of the coaches got it for him. During the game after he hit the ball he actually ran to first base (not to 3rd or the pitchers mound). When the ball came in the outfield he actually ran after it instead of watching it go by. It was like a completely different boy out there. After the game the coach gives out the game ball to the player that did a great job and he gave it to Kade. He was so excited. He ran over to show me and said, “Mom I ran super fast, I paid attention, I didn’t bug anyone in the dugout and I won the game ball.” He was just a gigglin’.
