Summer wouldn’t be complete with out a trip to the zoo. These two love water. Who needs to see the animals when there is water to play in.
It was the first day that the baby elephant was on display and it was pretty darn cute. Kade didn’t think that the baby should be playing in the mud.
When we got to the carousel Kade spotted a praying mantis and just had to ride it. When we were walking back from getting our tickets a little girl got on it and he about died. There was no one else on the ride but we had to wait for the next turn so he could ride the praying mantis.
Jaxson doesn’t care what he is riding he just loves to ride.
Neither Kade or Jaxson cared about seeing the animals. Their favorite part was the park. They would have been happy to just go to the park and forget about the animals.
Kade was pretty sad when we left but he told me that he had a great idea. We could build an animal park in our backyard. He decided that we needed a spider web, a giant egg, and a snake slide in our very own animal park. (sigh)

Cute pictures! I love the baby elephant! Can you believe the last time we went to the zoo was when Allison was a baby (we were still living in Logan...that was over 4 years ago). Our goal next summer is to make it up north to go! I know Allison would love it...she is really an animal lover!
