Recycled Toys

When Kade was almost 1 he had no desire to do anything that required any kind of effort.  If you tried to make him stand up his legs would automatically buckle.  He would not roll over and he would only go in his jumper for a few minutes at a time.  In another effort to get him to stand up and be active we got him this contraption.  In this picture he is 10 months old.  Can you see why he had no interest in moving that bulk around?

He liked to  bounce in it which made the poor legs roll apart and he actually cracked the blue part of the seat.  Grandpa had to put a metal bracket on it to hold it together.  We called the company and they sent us a replacement part (we didn’t tell them how heavy Kade was).

So Kade was 10 months old in that picture (look at those legs) and in this picture Jaxson is 8 months.  We still have 2 months to go until they are the same age but thank goodness I don’t think Jaxson is going to catch up to Kade’s weight.  Right before we retired this toy to the basement Kade was actually dragging it behind him as he walked through the house but he still wouldn’t stand up without it.

Jaxson already thinks it is great fun to be able to walk around his toys.  Of course Kade is enjoying all the “new” toys as well.  He has to show little brother how to play with them all.

Kris wonders why all the computer hard drive is gone.  It takes quite a few shots to get them both with their eyes open and smiling but we finally got it.

I love when i can recylce my toys and then I reminice and remember my other babies playing with the very same toys. Makes them even more special. That little baby is adorable! His smile is contagious. Don't worry, Michael says the same thing about my pictures--hence the external hard drive we purchased this Christmas. The final results make the tries all worth it!:)

I think my Max is as big as Kade was! He was 22lbs at 9 months when we took him in last week.... But you Kade looks like an active little boy now, so I guess they grow out of it! He was still so cute!
