Quirk Tag

Kristine tagged me awhile ago to list 6 of my quirks so here they are.

1 I hate feet. Kris cannot put his feet on me. Baby feet are ok but now that Kade is older I don't even like his feet on me.

2 I love to have my house clean. I don't like to clean it but once it is in order nobody can make a mess in it. After a few days of clean it slowly gets messy then I don't care if it's messy until I decide to clean it again and then the cycle starts over again. I like the everything behind doors to be tidy and organized. My closets and kitchen cupboards, even the fridge. Kris calls me Monica. We had family over for Thanksgiving and so I spent 3 days cleaning the house. I spent hours reorganizing the closets and cupboards. Kris got home from work and I told him to hang up his jacket. Why wouldn't he hang it up facing the direction of all the other coats and back on the hanger he got it from so it stays in it's proper spot? He also got me some graham crackers out of my newly organized pantry and then just set them back on the shelf completely out of order. Who doesn't know that they go at the end of the line of cereal boxes which are lined up according to height??

3 I hate to hear people chew their food or gum. I don't like smacking or popping. I however can pop my gum all I want.

4 I like reality TV. Survivor, Dancing with the Stars, Project Runway, Amazing Race etc. Kris hates it. He thinks they are all scripted and says he won't watch them with me but then always asks me who got kicked off.

5 I get sick and dizzy when I hear about anything gross. I can't even watch the sick parts during Grey's Anatomy. I have to have Kris hold my hand when I get my blood drawn and then he has to take me out for pancakes. When we first started dating he took me to Saving Private Ryan. I had my eyes closed the entire movie. That's not the quirky part. I work in a lab. I deal with blood, body fluids of all kinds, and even some body parts. When I first started I was data entry and then they asked me to come work in the lab and gave me a schedule I couldn't pass up. The first time I saw someone pour serum from one tube to another I about died. What had I agreed to? I went into the tissue room and saw the scapels and tools hanging above the sink and almost fell on the floor I got so dizzy. The first time I was using a eye dropper to suck the serum out of a tube and a clot got stuck on the end I almost vomited. I have worked here over 2 years and still get have not gotten used to it. Sometimes something really really gross will come in and everyone is gathering around to see it but they all know not to even tell me about it. There is a girl here that works over at the hospital in shock trauma and she was telling me what was wrong with the people whose blood I was getting. I finally had to tell her that I believe everyone over there has a cold or a little heart condition and she couldn't tell me otherwise anymore. I was having nightmares about her stories.

6 I am not a cook. We live on a lot of cereal. Whenever we have family get togethers my mom comes to my house and cooks for me. Whenever they ask me to bring something for a church thing or a work potluck I bring drinks or cups and plates. Somehow my house was nominated to host Thanksgiving dinner. Apparently everyone is aware that my mom would be doing the cooking or I'm sure they would not ruin their Thanksgiving meal with anything I would make. My mom had to pack up her kitchen in order to have all the pans and utensils she would need and she still had to keep running to the store. She was so irritated that I didn't have eggs or cloves for the pumpkin pies. Do you need eggs and cloves to eat cereal? One Sunday a lady came and asked me if we would have the missionaries over for dinner. My mom was visiting that week and she started laughing and told the sister that I don't cook. She said it was ok and that they didn't need an elaborate meal. I bet that was the only time they've been served Dominoes. They seemed to like it though, they ate a whole pizza. We did manage to open a bag of salad for them too.

I tag Sheri and Veronica.
